Tours

Day 1: Tokyo

Welcome to Japan! After completing customs procedures, a guide (usually Spanish-speaking, though occasionally English-speaking) will be waiting for you. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel by shared shuttle bus. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. In the afternoon, you’ll receive details about the start of your tour.


Day 2: Tokyo

In the morning, we’ll enjoy an extensive guided tour of this truly mesmerizing city, lasting approximately five hours. Tokyo’s vibrant energy and cutting-edge neighborhoods coexist beautifully with its tranquil, serene spaces.We’ll begin with a brief stop at Zojoji Temple, where you’ll capture one of the most iconic views of the Tokyo Tower. The temple grounds are adorned with hundreds of Jizo statues, intricately carved stone figures believed to be protectors of children, dressed in colorful knit caps, bibs, and windmills.Next, we’ll head to the famous Shibuya Crossing, often hailed as the busiest intersection in the world, followed by a visit to the Meiji Shrine, dedicated to the spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife. Our journey will continue by bus along the elegant Omotesando Avenue. We’ll then see the most picturesque parts of the Imperial Palace and its gardens and stop to admire the iconic Nijubashi Bridge.As we proceed, we’ll pass through the vibrant Akihabara district, also known as the “Electric Town,” a hub for Japanese manga and anime culture. We’ll also drive past the Kokugikan, Japan’s renowned sumo wrestling arena.We’ll conclude our tour in Asakusa, visiting the historic Sensoji Temple and the famous Nakamise Street. Lunch will be included at a local restaurant. Afterward, we’ll return to the hotel.At 6:30 p.m., we’ll meet our guide in the hotel lobby and take the metro (tickets included) to the lively Shinjuku district. Here, we’ll enjoy a stroll through its bustling streets, renowned for their vibrant nightlife, as we head to a local restaurant for dinner (included). Afterward, we’ll return to the hotel by metro, accompanied by our guide.


Day 3: Tokyo - Kamakura - Odawara - Gora

We’ll depart Tokyo for Kamakura, a serene “oasis of peace” that served as Japan’s capital for two centuries. This charming city is home to numerous sanctuaries, temples, and gardens.At the Hokoku-ji Zen Temple, we’ll take a peaceful walk through its enchanting bamboo forest (admission included) where you can enjoy a traditional green tea. We’ll also visit Sugimoto-dera, the city’s oldest temple, founded in 734. There will be time to explore the delightful city center before heading to the iconic Great Buddha (Daibutsu) (admission included).Our journey will continue along a scenic route by the Pacific Ocean to Enoshima, a picturesque island connected to the mainland by a bridge. You’ll have free time to enjoy lunch and a leisurely stroll.We’ll then proceed to Odawara, where we’ll visit the impressive Odawara Castle, a medieval fortress from the Edo era, restored in the 20th century (admission included).Overnight stay in Odawara.


Day 4: Gora - Mount fuji - Kawaguchiko - Tokyo

Today’s journey promises breathtaking scenery as we travel to the stunning Hakone region, known for its lakes and mountains near the iconic Mount Fuji.We’ll begin the day by ascending Owakudani, the “Valley of Hell,” famous for its steaming vents, bubbling mud pools, and sulphurous gases (access may be restricted due to volcanic activity or toxic gases; if so, we will visit the Arakurayama Sengen Park instead).Next, we’ll visit Oshino Hakkai, a charming village with eight ponds and picturesque views of Mount Fuji. From there, we’ll continue to Kawaguchiko, a storybook town of quaint houses, flowers, mountains, set beside a beautiful lake. Here, you’ll enjoy a delightful boat ride to take in the area’s beauty.Later, we’ll ascend Mount Fuji via the scenic road leading to the Fifth Station at 2,305 meters above sea level. We’ll return to Tokyo at the end of the day.Note: During winter, the road to Mount Fuji is often closed due to snow or weather conditions. If this occurs, we will ascend as far as permitted.


Day 5: Tokyo - Beijing

After breakfast, we’ll head to the airport by shuttle bus for our included flight to Beijing.Welcome to China! Upon arrival, we’ll provide a transfer to the hotel. In the late afternoon, we’ll have our first introduction to this impressive city, starting with a transfer to the famous Wangfujing Street, a lively pedestrian and commercial avenue filled with shops and restaurants. Dinner will be included. Afterward, we’ll return to the hotel.


Day 6: Beijing

An exciting day awaits us. We will discover the main points of interest in the Chinese capital. We will have a full day visit in which we will visit some of the main avenues in the city. The Great Chinese Imperial Palace, better known as "The Forbidden City", the most majestic architectural complex in China from where 24 emperors ruled for almost 500 years. We will also have the opportunity to visit Jingshan Park where the Coal Hill is located, one of the best preserved imperial gardens in Beijing. We ascend to the top of the hill to have the best views (if the day is clear) on the Forbidden City. We will walk through the immense Tiananmen Square one of the largest squares in the world, and from them, we will appreciate the Great National Theater, Beijing Opera House. Lunch is included. Today, we will also visit the SUMMER PALACE, the Imperial House of the Qing Dynasty with its beautiful gardens and lakes. In the afternoon we include a tricycle ride through the traditional neigbourhood of Beijing, known as Hutong. In this area we can see the typical life style in these popular neighborhood, visit typical shops and even a traditional house, a Siheyuan, with all its lounges around a courtyard. Return to the hotel and overnight.*Note: For reasons of heritage protection and increased visitor safety, the governing body of the Imperial Palace or Forbidden City has reduced the daily capacity of visitors for an indeterminate period of time. For this reason, we cannot guarantee that such a visit will take place. If it cannot be carried out, it would be replaced by a visit to the Confucius Temple and also the Lama Temple, both also emblematic of Chinese history and culture.


Day 7: Beijing - Shanghai


Day 8: Shanghai

In the morning, our trip includes a visit round this impressive city. We will know the area of Pudong, located across the Huangpu River, is now the financial district, with its skyscrapers as the Pearl Tower. We include a ferry crossing of the Shanghai River which will give us great views of the two parts of the city. We will stroll the Old City and the Yuyuan Garden, a private garden that was built during the Ming Dynasty. We will enjoy a demonstration of the Tea ceremony,traditional drink that plays an important cultural role in China. We will pass by one of the most fashionable neighborhoods of the capital, Xintiandi. Lunch included. Then, visit Tianzifang, a former residential area known for its narrow, labyrinthine traditional streets with its small craft shops and art galleries. We finish the visit along the Bund with its old buildings that remind us of the influence of European trade. Free afternoon. If you wish, you can enjoy a boat trip to see Shanghai at night, it will be an unforgettable experience.


Day 9: Shanghai - Luoyang

Transfer to the station. We take the high-speed train (a train is expected to leave at 07.17 h), and in a little over five hours, through many sections of pretty countryside, we cover the 1,000 km to LUOYANG. Lunch included. We see the impressive Buddhist caves of LONGMEN over more than a kilometre of the rocky walls of the river, where they sculpted more than 100,000 images of Buddha. We will include a boat trip. After this, transfer to the ancient city, where we cross its impressive wall and can enjoy the great traditional activity and its lit up streets.


Day 10: Luoyang - Longmen - Sanmexia - Xian

In the early hours, on the outskirts of Luoyang, we visit the WHITE HORSE BUDDHIST MONASTERY, a huge monastery and place of study where Buddhists from all countries of the world. We continue our route to SANMEXIA. In this historic city we will see the Yellow River and the Baoulon temple with its tall pagoda and we will visit one of the best museums in China: the Guo museum with the funeral carriages of the former state of guo. Lunch included. We continue eastwards, passing of Mount Hua, a holy mountain. XIAN, arrival at the end of the afternoon.


Day 11: Xian

We have arrived in the fascinating city where the silk route originated. First thing in the morning, we will go to see the TERRACOTA ARMY, with its thousands of life size clay soldiers that were found underground. We return to XIAN, where we will visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda. Later, we go across through the walled centre. We will cross the Muslim quarter there and we will enter the mosque, where we will be able to see the multiple cultures and religions that have left their mark on this country. Our tour will also include entry tickets to the Drum Tower where we will enjoy a short show of traditional instrument playing. Free time.-


Day 12: Xian - Linfen - Wang family mansion - Pingyao

We leave from Xian in a very modern high speed train and in less than three hours we will arrive in Lingfen. From here, we go in our coach to the MANSION OF THE WANG CLAN, which was built by a wealthy family between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries. Lunch is included. We continue on to PINGYAO, China´s best preserved historical city, which has 4,000 ancient buildings and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will enjoy this charming traditional city. Our tour will include entry tickets that allow visitors access to all the temples, mansions and city walls.


Day 13: Pingyao - Wutai

We travel to one of the most exciting spiritual places in China: WUTAI MOUNTAIN. This place, situated between green mountains and forests, is one of the centres of the Lamaism form of Buddhism. There are more than 40 ancient monasteries (and a similar number of monasteries have been built in more recent years), which are home to a large community of monks. We will visit Nanshan Temple with our guide, and later we will leave time free for you to look for less visited temples, where you can respectfully observe the monks. Dinner included.


Day 14: Wutai - Yanmen pass - Yingkxian - Hanging temple - Datong

After breakfast, we travel along a road of great scenic beauty between the mountains to YANGMENGUAN, which is not far from the border of Mongolia. In one of the mountain passes, we will visit a part of the GREAT WALL OF CHINA here. We will be able to take a tranquil walk, as it is an area with a very small number of tourists. We continue to YINGXIAN, quiet picturesque village with its great wooden pagoda. Lunch included. We continue to the HANGING TEMPLE of Xuancong Temple. Its construction on the wall of a cliff is amazing. Continuing with the coach, at the end of the day, you can stroll in DATONG, a city that has impressive walls and a rebuilt historic centre.


Day 15: Datong - Jiming post - Beijing

We leave in the morning to YUNGANG CAVES, China´s most impressive art cave site, which has more than 51,000 statues in its 252 caves that were excavated in the 5th century. We continue to JIMING POST, a small traditional Chinese settlement that preserves its peaceful and provincial life. It was created as a resting place for the mails that were sent from the emperor. Continue to BEIJING, arriving mid-afternoon.Our journey will come to an end, leaving you with wonderful lasting memories. Please check your flight time in case you require an additional night. While the departure transfer to the airport is not included, our guide will provide recommendations for the best public transportation options to suit your journey.
